Foundation
staff provides a number of professional services, some at no
cost for members and others for a fee.
National
Register of Historic Places Nominations
We will complete the application forms with required
photographs, maps, floor plans, etc and see the nomination
through the Mississippi Department of Archives and History
review process and on to the National Park Service. Fees range
depending on the size and complexity of the property.
Vicksburg
Landmark Nominations
We will complete the application with required photographs and
present the nomination to the Vicksburg Board of Architectural
Review. Fees maybe waived for Foundation members and range
depending on the size and complexity of the property or
non-members.
Mississippi
Landmark Nominations
We will complete the application with required photographs and
maps and present the nomination to the MDAH. Fees are $250 for
members and $350 for non-members.
City
of Vicksburg Tax Abatement Application
We will complete the application with required attachments and
present to the City of Vicksburg. Fees may be waived for
members and range depending on the size and complexity of the
property or non-members.
Main
Street Façade Grant Application
We will complete the application and submit to the Main Street
Program. Fees are waived for members and are $50 for
non-members.
Applications
for Certificates of Appropriateness
from the Vicksburg Board of Architectural Review
We will work with you to prepare applications for Certificates
of Appropriateness for exterior work to properties within the
Historic Vicksburg District. We will work with you and/or your
designated representative(s) to ensure that the proposed work
adheres to the Design Review Guidelines of the Historic
Vicksburg District and will present the application to the
Board of Architectural Review. Fees maybe waived for members
and vary depending upon the size and complexity of the
proposed project for non-members (estimate at $50 an hour).
Federal
Historic Investment Tax Credits
We will complete the application for the ITC and consult with
the MDAH on proposed changes during rehabilitation and prepare
any necessary amendments to the primary application. The
required photographs will be included. The property owner must
provide drawings and floor plans to accompany the application.
Fees vary from $1000 depending on the size and complexity of
the project. If the Foundation is contracted with to complete
the ITC application, any applications for the City of
Vicksburg Tax Abatement, Main Street Façade Grant, and the
Board of Architectural Review applications will be included at
no additional charge.
State
Historic Investment Tax Credits
We will complete the application for the state ITC and consult
with the MDAH on proposed changes during rehabilitation and
make such amendments to the primary application as may be
necessary. The required photographs will be included. The
property owner must provide the necessary drawings and floor
plans to accompany the application. Fees vary depending on the
size and complexity of the project and whether the Foundation
is contracted with to complete the Federal ITC for the
project. Fees for just the state ITC vary depending on the
size and complexity of the project, from $1000.
If
the Foundation is also completing the Federal ITC, the fee for
the state application is $250. If the Foundation is contracted
with to complete the state ITC application, the City of
Vicksburg Tax Abatement application, Main Street Façade Grant
application, and applications to the Board of Architectural
Review, if applicable, will be included at no additional
charge.
